Course Description
This module
includes the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system, normal and abnormal findings
of the respiratory system in your daily assessment, and a very brief description of gas exchange
and oxygenation. It also includes a case scenario that puts into practice the learner’s
understanding of the material.
This course has the goal of facilitating knowledge and confidence in the care of the newborn
patient. Neonatal Respiratory Fast Track is also used as a great orientation tool for nurses
wishing to pursue a career in the field of Neonatology/Nursery.
Target Audience
This module
is designed for nurses who are currently working with the newborn population. It can also
be used as an orientation tool for nurses new to this population.
