Course Description
This course
serves as a comprehensive guide to gain confidence in chest pain assessment. This module
includes a review of types of cardiac chest pain including angina, unstable angina and myocardial
infarcts. Common presentations of patients with chest pain, treatment modalities, and possible
complications of untreated symptoms will be discussed.
This course has the goal of facilitating knowledge and confidence in the assessment of a
patient with chest pain. Chest Pain Assessment is also used as a great orientation tool for
nurses wishing to pursue a career in the cardiology or gain confidence in differentiating
types of chest pain..
