Course Description
This module
is designed to guide the healthcare professional on a journey through the cardiac conduction
system. As you ‘walk’ through the heart, you’ll better understand the cardiac
conduction system and the underlying physiology of cardiac dysrhythmias. Upon completion
of this module, you’ll be ‘shocked’ at how well you understand the cardiac
conduction system in relation to the patient’s presentation. This module is not to
learn how to read strips, but to understand the cardiac conduction system in relation to
the heart and apply this knowledge into your daily physical assessment.
This course has the goal of facilitating knowledge and confidence in the care of the cardiac
patient. Block Party Cardiac Dysrhythmias is also used as a great orientation tool for nurses
wishing to pursue a career in the field of cardiology or critical care areas.
Target Audience
This module
is designed for nurses who are currently working with the cardiac population. It can also
be used as an orientation tool for nurses new to this population.
