SCORM Compliant Course Assembler
Assembler is the LearningServer LMS ’s course creation tool.  Assembler is an easy to use, web-based authoring component designed to give course developers the ability to create online learning content quickly and easily.

Content Lesson pages are easily created by using the integrated design box which contains common word processing controls, or an HTML editor, or alternatively by assigning an uploaded HTML page to that lesson.

Any file type can be associated within a lesson; For example, Lesson 1a could display a Word document, Lesson 1b could show a PowerPoint presentation, and Lesson 1c could show a video file.  Lessons can also be created by importing SCO files.  SCO files are individual lessons or pieces within a SCORM file.  This option offers the ability to incorporate content created by 3rd party content developers or course-creation applications into your own course.

As you add lessons to a course, a course outline is automatically created.  The output course is SCORM-compliant and features tracking ability and IMS metadata compliance.

Exam Creation Module
The exam module allows you to make custom exams and add them to courses, regardless of who created the content (3rd party vs. created via LearningServer LMS Assembler).

The presentation of questions is easily manipulated via a text editing box with common word processing controls or HTML.  Multimedia files such as videos, images, and audio can be easily inserted with the press of a button.  Questions can be added to a pool for use by multiple exams or for randomization purposes.  Entire exams can also be copied for use with multiple courses.

Question types include: multiple choice, yes/no, true/false, essay, and fill in the blank.

Options include:  scoring type (normalized/weighted), required score to pass, question randomization, question pooling, exam duration, questions/page, exam type (pre/practice/post/test-out)), total # of questions, exam weight, number of attempts, availability dates, allow learner to view results yes/no, and mandatory questions.
